The business is owned and operated by Mr Claude Corso who has 35+ years’ experience in the electrical engineering industry. Claude’s considerable engineering and hands-on, leadership, business development and sales experience was forged across iconic organisations the likes of which include State Electricity Commission of Victoria (SECV), Wilson Transformer Company, Email Limited and the Tamco “Switchgear” Group of Companies. The depth of his experience is extensive and was cultivated whilst working in various local senior roles that extended to working in New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Philippines, Middle East, India and the United Kingdom? Strategy and leadership experience spans brand building, sales, marketing, business development, product development, engineering, manufacturing, operations, customer service and P & L management.
Uniquely qualified as a Chartered Professional Engineer through Engineers Australia Claude’s proficiencies are primarily in power engineering, substation design, project management, electrical construction, power and distribution transformers, electricity and gas measurement and medium and low voltage switchgear.

Tamco
- Established the Tamco Brand in Australia
- Converted an Inherited loss of $(4.0M) to a profit of $2.9M (PBIT)
- Established a cash positive position of $6.0M after paying off historical and inherited debt of $2.5M
- Developed a market compliant transfer pricing and profit share model which lead to considerable sales success and increased market share.
- Increased sales revenue by circa 460% as a result of lucrative and highly profitable period contracts and maintained them by over-servicing customers.
- Established an impressive installed base of medium voltage switchgear, in excess of 2400 units
- Destabilised competitor strong hold and market share by securing Utility period contracts for MV switchgear worth more than $55M.
Ampy Email & Email Metering
- Drove marketing, product development and corporate sales functions to achieve and maintain a market share holding of over 70% in a competitive metering business domain.
- Secured the award of top Asia-Pacific Distributor for Industrial Gas Products from Principal Rhurgas AG
- Conceived and developed a first class sales forecasting model with > 85% accuracy.
- Conceived an automated, nationally networked sales administration facility called “Products and Services” designed to prevent sales margin and unit price erosion whilst enhancing customer quotation response time
- As part of the management team played a key role in managing a lucrative metering operation in North East China
- Pioneered early developments in interval metering
Wilson Transformer Company (WTC)
- Secured significant long term period contracts with Energex and Energy Australia for Power Transformers.
- Increased WTC’s reach throughout South Asia in particular the markets of Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and UK
- Played a significant role establishing the UK market by securing the first ever contract for power transformers with Scottish Power.
State Electricity Commission of Victoria
- Development of Jeeralang A & B Gas turbine stations from a transmission network perspective
- Development of LoyYang A & B power stations from a transmission network perspective
- Redevelopment of Hazelwood Terminal Station
- Redevelopment of Yallourn and Hazelwood Power Stations from a transmission network perspective
- Redevelopment of Morwell South power grid system including Morwell South Terminal station
- Redevelopment of Alcoa Point Henry Works transmission assets
- Played a key role in outsourcing design services for the development of Moorabool Terminal Station by private enterprise
- Played a key role in the initial development of the South Australian interconnection and development of Heywood Terminal Station
- Responsibility for the development of earthing guidelines and documentation for earthing during the construction of the Richmond to Brunswick underground 220kV cable system
